“The extremely competitive restaurant market in China continues to grow quickly. Therefore, as we are expanding our business, it is important for us to implement a flexible and robust restaurant technology solution in our sites, making it easier to manage our operations on a standardized platform,” said David Laris, chef, restaurateur and founder of David Laris Creates. “The Aloha Enterprise solution gives us the flexibility we need by easily adapting to our various concepts, which helps us better manage and analyze operations, guest service and back-of-house activities across the company.”
David Laris is an Australian chef and entrepreneur whose restaurants and concept developments, including Laris Restaurant and Three-on-the-Bund, have achieved numerous awards in China. The Aloha Enterprise solution allows each concept to improve employee productivity, provide faster service and better manage guest lists and reservations, helping management achieve higher levels of control across its locations. The solution’s in-depth reporting capabilities also allow management to notice and correct inefficiencies within its operations, which helps minimize waste and maximize bottom-line profits. Four new food and beverage concepts located in the 2011 World Expo Village in Shanghai are among the David Laris Creates sites that are utilizing the Aloha Enterprise solution. These sites provide expo visitors with examples of the chic and casual dining segments that have seen outstanding growth in China.
“Radiant’s leading position in the Chinese market gives us the opportunity to provide restaurant technology and related services to some of the best restaurateurs in the world,” said Mark Schoen, president of the international division at Radiant Systems. “We continue to expand the availability of the Aloha Enterprise solution in this market through both our direct presence and our strong local resellers.”
